The air is getting crisp. At Piccolo Camping, September isn't the end of summer, but rather the beginning of the most intimate season, beloved by those who embrace true vanlife and travel alongside their dogs.

Far from the August frenzy, the pitches become oases of peace. There is finally time to enjoy a coffee outdoors while admiring the mountains reflecting in the lake, and to share a chat with fellow campers in a friendly, homey atmosphere.

A few days ago, we welcomed Monique and Marc from the Netherlands, accompanied by the real star of the holiday: their sweet dog, Motz. Seeing them so peaceful and relaxed on the campsite lawn reminds us exactly why we love this month.

The mild September temperatures are a true relief for animals. The sweltering heat gives way to gentle breezes, the beaches empty out, and there is plenty of wide, safe space for them to rest in the shade of our trees or to go for walks along the trails around Domaso.
